afternoon at martinelli's building
after 7 years of my great-great-grandfather giuseppe biasi arrival in brazil, as many others giuseppes coming from italy, this giuseppe also settled his home in this land. when giuseppe martinelli built the martinelli building he marked the transition of the san paolo's skyscraper era on the 20's.
90 years later, with the current two antony gormley's exhibitions in san paolo, there is a profusion of statues shaped on gormley's own body on the same centre's skyscraper view.
a good excuse to have a free monitored visit to the top of the building + hear a bit about its history from the lovely guy who works there for about 11 years, and see the view these gormleys have been delighting from there these last couple of months
