'i see blue, i don't see red anymore,

nor yellow. this bothers me terribly because i know that these colors exist, because i know that there is red, yellow, a special green, a particular purple on my palette. i don't see them anymore as i used to see them in the past, and however i remember very well how it was like.'

'i had to come all the way from the highways and byways of tallahassee, florida to motor city, detroit to find my true love

if you gave me a million years to ponder, i would never have guessed that true romance and detroit would go together. and to this day, the events that followed all seem like a distant dream. but the dream was real and was to change our lives forever. i kept asking clarence why our world seemed to be collapsing and everything seemed so shitty. and he'd say: 'that's the way it goes. but don't forget, it goes the other way too.' that's the way romance is. usually that's the way it goes. but every once in a while, it goes the other way too.'

chandra was 12-years-old when she recorded 4 songs for 'transportation' ep in the early-80′s new york club scene. she's daughter of the conceptual artist dennis oppenheim who was well acquainted with the artists and musicians of the late 70's lower east side.
love this obscure pre-teen temperament.

candy-coloured battenburg cake

eric is my babe so it's hard to say something about his work taking my love away.
i see it with an unstated humorous mood. it's explicit and spunky but sweet in the same time.

i can't stop listening

'the songs aren’t really about anything in particular. sometimes they are little stories. but most of the time the lyrics are secondary. they’re more colours than something with fixed meaning. even if the voice is incomprehensible, even if the lyrics don’t stick out... our brains are programmed to want to hear a voice. but basically we’re like an instrumental band.'

it's all about me

i'm not the sort of person who has standard words or radical views. i try to find out what could shows up and bring something even when it's not extremely meaningful to me at the moment. i went to hayward gallery to see tracey emin's love is what you want exhibition which includes every phase of emin's career. i must say i didn't have any connection with her work before and i'm still not a fan but now seeing it all, i could realize that i quite sympathize with her speech and ironic view apart from almost all the form it comes up. the interesting part of this is, as she's a quite good storyteller, you really can experience the feeling of being in someone's brain since you step into the gallery. you don't need to like what you see inside but it is definitely a woman.
